This is a film about the Texas Tech Collegiate Wake Team. I was hoping to illuminate the world of collegiate wakeboarding in hopes of boosting spotlight and support for the student shredder. We all have an undying passion for the competitive/freeride lifestyle and brotherhood formed by spending hours together on a boat. We filmed this footage over the past year, and I compiled/edited it throughout these past few weeks. I apologize for the sudden ending, but time complications due to the workload from my graduating semester/moving only allowed for a certain amount of editing. For this reason, I have listed all credits below:

Hey everyone! What it do?!?!?

Well we got back from Wake the Desert last night around 12:30 needless to say it was a longggg but epic weekend! A few guys from the team went and had a great showing. Clay rode on Saturday in the intermediate division had a solid run but was unable to make it into finals. Connor rode next in the advanced division where he put up a great qualifying run and landed him a spot in the finals on Sunday but due to two unfortunate falls he didn't podium. Ross went out Saturday and rode like a champ securing himself a seat in the finals on Sunday. Where he rode awesome and put up a great run sticking two 5's and 3 tantrum variations landing him in first in the division. John went out on Saturday in the outlaw division and had a good run at it but was unable to make finals.

Overall it was a great weekend!

On another note I should have at least 2 NEW VIDEOS up with week! so get Pumped!

When we were looking for a boat Rob Medieta was there and got us hooked up with our other sponsor Axis Wake Research! Their Collegiate Wake Series was a great time and was ran awesome! I'd encourage any collegiate teams out there to get with Empire Wake!

Me, Rob and Connor went to Lake Alan Henry yesterday with the Riptank crew. We enjoyed some chop and wind but it was a good day nonetheless. I wrecked myself multiple times it seems like thats all I really do. HA! Hopefully that video will be up soon. hey guys, rob here. i just wanted to go over the picture that clay drew for us. here it is, and ill share my interpretations from left to right.

First off we have got Ross, he's holding a sword. i don't really know why he is, maybe cause he's just crazy and if we saw him with one it'd be like, "Oh, hey Ross." so thats pretty cool. next is lando, you can tell cause he is rarely seen without a backwards baseball hat, i think his fav team is NY. hes got a prego test in his hand, cause thats how he rolls, or how somebody else rolls. either way, theres some rolling. next to him is sean aka BearCat. hes jacked and apparently yelling. and then theres connor, tall lank-mister, wearing only but a towel. he doesnt know how to pack for trips so he ran out of clothes often. next to him, wearing the camel back is the Rancho-Resident Jimmy. hes got a list in his hand which he made, it has goals on it that we were to accomplish on the trip. we got most of em i think. then theres me with my lady under my tan and jacked arm. i have a mohawk, which was cut by ross, but not with his sword hes holding. next up is Clay Tie-dye XDizzleX. atop his head lies a Jew-Fro, which he rocked constantly, as well as a tiedye shirt. a goofy fellow nontheless but we all love him. under his arm is sarah, and she rolls pretty hard and likes backstreet boys. then theres clay, the artist, himself. hes holding a tooth brush, for an unknown reason, but has a poncho on because he always has it on. next to him is a small puerto rican wakeskater named John the Wakeskater. in the middle of december he will be tanner than you, no matter where you live. unbelievable phenomena. then theres the OG of the tech wake group John Marshall, he came drank his big ol cans of redbull and had a good time in the VIPs at the clubs.

Back from Nationals!!!

Nationals were EPIC!!! Empire Wake knows how to have a great contest and have fun events! The team had a great time in Austin! We didn't make it out of the first round, we were beaten by A&M who went on to make it to the final four! Texas Wake ended up winning Nationals with solid riders!!

On a different note the boat will be going out this week probably Tues or Weds if we're lucky!! Hope for nice weather!!

Alright everyone Nationals is in 4 days! Everyone on the competing team seems real stoked and excited! Its going to be EPIC!! WE ride Friday against Texas A&M and if we beat them we will ride against the current #2 team in the country, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington! This event is going to be great for everyone I'd encourage everyone to try to make it to Austin or at least watch it on WakeWorld.
